Hello guys, thanks in advance for the help.
I'm researching gold and silver nanoparticle formation mechanisms, and this is a doubt I've had for quite a while whereas I haven't found anybody discussing it.
Why are silver nanoparticles better synthesized in much colder temperatures than gold nanoparticles? I've usually see synthesis of AgNP being room temperature or at most in ice, and gold nanoparticles are usually synthesized at 80~100 degrees celsius.
Can anybody give me some insight or perhaps a link to some research I've fatally not found yet?
Thanks in adv,
Brian.
