Teachers always strengthen the moral values of the students to be good people in future. Researchers are doing the same for their followers from the platform of ethical, moral aspects.
For Students : Opens your Ears and Open the Eyes wide during Lecture and Learning process Avoid interupting and Talking so you could Learn more. Regards
I used to say to female students: don't become a teacher at a school, but at a university. They wait for your talent and your special ability to understand other people.
@ Stanley Wilkin offers very good advice: Work hard-and follow your own ideas, instincts, thoughts, intuition in order to make a real impact.
In terms of working hard, it helps to develop good work habits, starting setting aside an interval of time each day (most days of the week) to study. To do this,
try the following:
Ask a question concerning a topic of interest, e.g., What is a prime number? Who introduced a theory of gravity? What is light?
Look for answers to a question, e.g., try google, visit a teacher, browse among the books and journals in your local library.
Start a notebook, e.g., write notes while you are studying--things to follow up on as a result what you noticed during the day or while you were studying.
Try to help the growth of spiritualism whereby cooperation and love for mankind takes the place of competition. From an ethical point of view, we need to germinate the seeds of love, caring and happiness for all regardless of gender, religion, and ethnicity.

More often I say my students always ''There is no free lunch in the world.''
If someone who is studying in a foreign country at the beginning of his studies gets advice from a professor at that university: "Don't cheat and work hard!" - What must this student think about the foreign country and its universities? He thinks, of course: People are usually cheated and are cheating each other here, and the people who have the certificate to study at a university after school are actually all lazy people in this country who can get such a certificate for a little money. As an university member, so I wouldn't give advice that I've taken for granted in my own behavior so far, which is to enjoy hard work and not cheat others. I am therefore very surprised at the kind of advice given in this thread on this question. I would give completely different advice.
Yes , this type advice should not be given to the students by a teacher in abroad. It will malign the goodwill of the country creating the social and philosophical aspects of the students and ultimate result for DE-motivation.
For student to followers they should act as a companion for the life so that in their respective areas they may contribute their path efficient & effective as part of advice it becomes equally our duty to see & observe that whatever the contributory guideline under a firm policy of their career that they should efficient stick so that their contribution may turn out to be a successful rosy fragrance .
If writing a thesis or an essay it is good to have good literature to quote and refer to in order to back up your argument, but literature you strongly oppose is just as useful. Imagin you are writing about a certain topic, as if you were arguing against somebody else. That somebody might be an essay or book or scientist you strongly oppose.
DOCUMENTS
You should keep a clear structure in your archive. It does not matter whether you are using old-school literature cards or a computer, but along the line it is tremendously useful to have your full collection of literature and data to your disposal and being able to find just what you are looking for. I use to scan all literature and newspaper-articles of interest and store them according to date and topic. That way I am able to find whatever I am looking for when writing up an essay within a very short time. If you start early, it becomes natural to sort your files and you might need it in the future.
DOCUMENTS #2: The Archive
The most simple way would be to name the files "Year Author_Title of Essay" and sort it all as PDF into one single folder. Then set up different folders on certain topics, create a link to a respective file and move that link into different folders, whilst leaving the file itself in a general folder. You can sort one essay under different subheadings that way. Also using a desktop-based search engine like "Copernic DesktopSearch" (there are others too) comes in handy. Naturally you could do much more, but this is the most simple and accessible way and it does not take up much time to add new files. (Much more would mean: data bank and special data-bank for literature and such.)
I have been constantly advising my students that they must be ethical and noble in crossing all important milestones of life with constant learning, keeping good healthy relationship with others in true sense so that they have not to speak, their work speaks about their talent.
Be humane and learn - forever, because "We have a hunger of the mind which asks for knowledge of all around us, and the more we gain, the more is our desire; the more we see, the more we are capable of seeing". To students: be patient and proactive, always face the dynamics and diverse situations you may find yourself in with and work hard to achieve them. Your dreams your future.
To researchers: be open minded and know that there is knowledge everywhere now which can be accessed quite easily. Do not assume you know it all, also have a chance to learn from what your research students presents to you for assessment as opportunity for you to also learn because knowledge and the method of doing things or presenting facts in this modern world are broad. Also be pragmatic in your research and learn new things all the time.
To my fellows: be kind and generous to ourselves and supportive. Share ideas in common knowledge and keep sharing our research works to other fellows and followers for larger viewers/readers.
To my followers: always follow and try to criticize when there is the need and also praise or recommend where it is due. Also share your views for correction and not just criticized.
It is an advantage if you are interested in a university in areas that have nothing to do with your nearer dsicipline-studying, but are very interesting. You should be interested in many things.

Students are often given the chance to collaborate with their supervisor in research projects as well as presenting their own research on conferences. This is necessary and useful to get experience, make yourself known and get in touch with other researchers and established individuals in academia. Of course you will also be a cheap, available and willing worker doing research for your professor. You might easily get abused working too much for other people for cheap money on the promise of making yourself known. People will invite you to present your project without payment, you will write essays without getting paid and even though you might have a working contract with your university, you might find yourself in a position working more than you are being paid for.
It is necessary to find a balance between working for others and your own interests. Publishing an essay might be useful, but you do deliver a product you have been working for so you have to consider getting paid for your work at some point. Especially if you are being invited to hold a presentation for free on a conference where participants are paying in order to listen to presentations of you and your colleagues. Always keep in mind: what is in your own interest and what is just an unpaid favor for others and you do not profit from it? (Either by money or non-monetary profit.)
I agree with your statement: "In science there is no wide road without potholes, bumps and other obstacles ..." - really - because sometimes I experienced such obstacles.
I often tell my students: stay focused (strategy), work hard (commitment); do not worry for the results; someone is watching you and your performance; reward would eventually come, but just do not think about it.
This is in consonance with what Lord Krishna says to Arjuna in Gita, the holy Hindu scripture. Even as I am an agnostic; but I like this advice of Krishna.
Don't listen to so-called "good advice" (if you have not explicitly asked someone a concrete question), but mistrust such people who principally want to give always good advice to other people.
Emmanuel Kant wrote that thoughts come through in time and space. That's why for innovative idea the most important thing is a pen and a writing pad. The rest (planning of sampling, processing, analysis methods..) comes as a realization of the general idea
Hi Zafar The best advice that can be given to a baccalaureate, student or research assistant is the transparency in their work, the verification of the data and the review of the methodological aspects. Do not hide information or misrepresent the results. Finally, respect for the work of other researchers.
