I am culturing breast cancer cell line, some time I observe high density of tiny dot like structure, I am not able to find out whether its contamination or cell debris.if it is contamination then what kind of contamination it is ? I am attaching pic below.

There is a huge debate over the particles (a living organism or not). Some say the particles are mycoplasma, other say debris or old/bad serum. There many methods to check mycoplasma contamination, you could try. However, sometimes the particles are there but seem not really inhibit the cell growth (cell can reach confluency) and your cell medium is clear. If this is the case, personally, I would say the particles are just debris.
