Would someone tell me a successful simple protocol for DNA isolation from animal tissues , that gives reasonable yield and which is not costly and does not alter DNA structure ?

I preferred kits for obtaining high quality DNA!! CTAB is cheap, and can be used but the extracted DNA will be in less quality!!
Thanks Dr Ayoob , I tried kits however the yield is very little , does not fit my required next step in addition that kits are a bit expensive for me

That is right, kits will result in low quantity, at the same time good quality! Then, you may try to use CTAB which is cheaper but you may use silica filter columns in the same protocol to purified the DNA sample!
