Reports on various cell lines of different tissue-origins are only selecting well-known critical genes as in a few references below. Not all the cell lines show the same gene mutation and same spot of the DNA. It is one of our efforts to look at mutations in a particular gene of interest. More frequently global chromosome aneuploidy is another aspect of those of many causes of cancer as well. Deregulation of cell cycle is still important cause, leading to analysis of the genes involved in pathways and indirect involvement of surrounding genes. Thus, the focus of your work should narrow down too many genes already reported in many cell lines and your own suspected major genes controlling cell cycle.Cell cycle means everything, including extrinsic signal, recptor, effector, transcrtion factor and proteins of the cell cycle maintenance.
