I suggest the  employment of software Powermarker for  the calculation of PIC.

I think that the problem is that you have more than 2 alleles in one locus for some individuals. I suggest to use the following formula:

PICi = 2 fi(1 − fi);

where PICi is polymorphic information content of marker ‘i’, fi is frequency of the amplified allele (band present), and (1 − fi) = frequency of the null allele (band absent).
