I was wondering if quiescent cells will have enough metabolic activity to interfere with the interpretation of the results (% of growth inhibition), in other words, if the formazan production needs to be adressed as actively dividing and quiescent cells or if the amount of formazan produced by quiescent cells is almost irrelevant, such that we could consider the formazan production as almost entirely produced by actively dividing cells.

I´ll treat breast cancer cell lines with an antiandrogen and i want to determine the percentage of growth inhibition.

Could someone clear this out?
