They only give you enough for the undiluted version of the protocol - have to purchase more if you want to use the diluted version - I've found the undiluted version to be prone to false positives.
Easiest way to get buffer compositions is to look up the patent for the product.

I couldn't find anything for MycoAlert Plus in the patent, but this is the patent that product is covered under. They refer to it as Mycoplasma Assay Buffer.
Mycoplasma Assay Buffer (MAB) per 100 ml:
HEPES 1.1915 g (50 mM)
EDTA 74.44 mg (2 mM)
Triton X-100 250 μl (0.25%)
pH 7.50
I'm not familiar with the kit myself, but they have lots of info in there including the composition of the components and the preparation of working solutions.
Thank you very much Michael - very helpful and much appreciated! Wasn't aware that all this info could be found in the patents. Learn something everyday! Thanks again!
If a buffer undiluted is prone to false positives for mycoplasma detection it is probably due to contaminating bacterial DNA in the buffer that gets diluted out . I have used psoralyn to inactivate all nucleic acids that can contaminate primers, buffers and polymerases. Roche has replaced psoralyn with a reagent with the same function and it is safer.
