In my PhD project, I am investigating the effect of Glucocorticoids i.e., cortisol on the expression of one gene of interest? We saw significant result with the treatment of mice with synthetic Cortisol analogue, Dexamethasone. To confirm the involvement of GR in mediating the effect, I did experiment with Mifepristone (GR antagonist) (2X injection 30 mg/Kg 12 h interval, plus 12h fasting). It seems that we did not successfully inhibited the GR by this experimental setting that we used.
Therefore, because of shortage in time, I am now looking for liver samples from liver-specific GR knockout or knockdown during fasting. I would appreciate if any one have the following set of samples:
**Fed and fasted mice with liver specific-GR knockout or knockdown.
If you have these samples in your freezer, I would need small liver pieces for collaboration in my project.
