SAS oral cancer cells have a high snail expression. We treated this cell line with a ROS inducing agent multiple times and had transformed into an EMT phenotype cell. However, we noticed that proliferation and migration were reduced compared to their parental cell line. When we run a WB for snail, slug, and twist, they have been relatively decreased expression compared to the parental cell line. Do you have any opinion about this dissociation of EMT phenotype and EMT TF? Could the EMT phenotype in this case a pure reaction from the agent?
