To establish an orthotopic HCC model, C57BL/6 mice (male, 6-8 weeks) were orthotopically implanted with 3x106 Hepa1-6 cells (Over-expressed with a human gene) in 20uL Matrigel into the left lobe of the livers. Mice were sacrificed at Day 20. However, no tumor was found in the liver.
I am planning to do IHC to validate whether there is tumor, but I am not sure which marker is better for the HCC model. Maybe CK family or GPC3?
