I think any rodent model for autism or schizophrenia will be found to have some inner ear dysfunction, most likely hyperactivity. I don't think you will get very far trying to assess vertigo or dizziness. It is the more subtle manifestations of developmental vestibular disruption that are likely to be more important, for example, dyscontrol of the autonomic nervous system, poor spatial navigation, or failure of multisensory integration.
