I am trying to work on this subject for my Ph-D and I would apreciate if anyone could help me to know who are the most imporant authors that worked on this topic. Even those who worked on alternative tourism would help, on the one hand.
On the other hand, I would like to identify what are the theories used to study such topics.

I am ready to collaborate with you in writing this topic. Currently i am working on sustainable tourism in North Sumatera. We are implementing sustainable tourism and empower local product engages in this project.
Local plant, well known as "andaliman" spicy receipt mix with pizza is one of the well known food product is being interested national and international tourist in Lake Toba. It is only one of the sample from many local product being empowered by local and national government to promote local product as well as a part of sustainable tourism.

For sustainable management of local product to enhance tourism development required the involvement of all stakeholders including governments, private investors and local communities in the planning, development and management of local products though policies, Programmes and plans which enhance local economy and quality of life.
السياحة البيئية المحليةالمستدامة هي ربط الاستثمار والمشاريع الإنتاجية مع حماية البيئة والتنوع الحيوي للمناطق السياحية،وذلك عن طريق إعداد برامج سياحية تشاركية مع مختلف القطاعات الحكومية ذات العلاقة وكذلك مكونات المجتمع المدني والقطاع الخاص تعتمد للمواقع المميزة بيئيا،دون الإضرار بالبيئة والتنمية المستدامة.
فالجزائر تمتلك الكثير من المقومات تجعل منها وجهة سياحية بامتياز،وذلك لو تم استغلالها وتطويرها من أجل تنويع منتجاتها السياحية المحلية،فبالإضافة إلى مقوماتها الطبيعية و الثقافية الكبيرة
قامت الجزائر بإنشاء العديد من الحظائر الوطنية و المحميات الطبيعية،وغيرها من المناطق المحمية فالعمليات البيئية في النظام البيئي مثل المحافظة على التنوع الوراثي للكائنات الحية التي تتفاعل في إطار النظام البيئي و حمايتها خاصة الأنواع التي هي في طريق الانقراض،وكذلك تشجيع أجراء البحوث و الدراسات العلمية و التقنية الخاصة بالوسط الواجب حمايته،والتخطيط الإقليمي و التنموي،و محاولة تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي من خلال أرباح الصناعة السياحية للمنتجات المحلية ذات الطابع التقليدي التراثي للمحميات.والمجتمعات المحلية بمختلف مكوناتها التاريخية والجغرافية
