I would like to know more about the vertigo trial project, reason is I'm working in vestibular assessment in patients with unilateral vestibular schwannoma at LUMC. Now a days I'm looking for new ways to assess the vestibular functions of these patients, hopefully using internet as interface (videocalling, zoom, skype). So, my question is if you have a way to test your patients before start the vestibular therapy?

Thanks for your message. We used online questionnaires to measure the vestibular symptoms of patients before we started online vestibular rehabilitation. The design and results of our trial are described in the following papers: https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/7/1/e015479.abstract; https://www.bmj.com/content/367/bmj.l5922. Previous research has shown that scores on these validated VSS-SF and DHI questionnaires are strongly related to objective physical measurements of vestibular dysfunction. Does this answer help you?

Thanks for your answer.
It partially helps me, because I already have 3 questionnaires to apply (DHI, PANQOL and SF-36). PANQOL is specific for vestibular schwannoma subjects.
So, I miss the objective vestibular tests that could be apply "long -distance". I have some ideas that need to be grounded.
I'm glad that you are working with patients with vestibular dysfunction and helping them to cooperate and deal with their situation.
