Go to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/

In the filter beside the search bar set as Nucleotide. Enter any gene name that you want to query in the search bar.

You get every information about that particular gene , based on your requirements set the filters and get the ssequence in FASTA format.

I also tried using NCBI, but it only gives FASTA sequence. Is it possible to get whole nucleotide sequence of a gene by using NCBI.

Sailesh, you can follow Poornima's instructions, instead to set Nucleotide, set Gene. After the search you can filter by taxonomic tree, select categories (like alternatively spliced), and so more if you like. After selecting the gene, a FASTA sequence will be displayed. It will say sometimes WHOLE GENOME, but it is just a portion of the genome that contains the gene.

Similar to Ensembl, another good option is to use the UCSC website: http://genome.ucsc.edu/
