The results from immortalized BMDM are usually quite different from the results generated with "real BMDM". Unless you need use a lot of BMDM for screening purpose, I would not recommend you do your experiment with immortalised BMDM.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I see lots of scientific papers using immortalized BMDM for transfection purposes instead of primary BMDM. So, I thought primary BMDM might not be suitable for transfection.

Do you have any idea about transfecting plasmid vectors in primary BMDM?
