From my understanding; 1.Outcome-based learning in linked to performance of students and their grades. Motivation is key for this target. 2. On the other hand; skill-based could be for "long life" learning means to teach students skills they will need after graduation. It could be through seminars, workshops and conferences.

In my view, outcome-based learning is associated with immediate result of learning process and focuses on the temporary mitigation of the crisis. But skill-based learning is based on development of skills to expertise the subject area and to utilize those skills for achievement of goals. Let me make it clear with a simple example. Using the outcome-based learning method the teachers focus on how they could teach the class about a certain topic, whereas in skill-based learning it means that the focus is on how that topic can help the students develop and learn certain skills.

Outcome based learning defines objectives or outcomes while designing learning plans for users, avoiding a general knowledge building approach.

Outcome based learning is primarily related to the results that the learners get during their learning activities. It can be short term activities whereas skill based learning relies heavily on the skills and abilities the learners have master during a long term period.

Here you present two types of learning - skill-based and outcome-based learning. In my option both of these don´t tap in not the problem of education today, and that is the recognition and enhancement of the Female Principle which is linked to intuition. Thus instead of emphasising learning (skill based or outcome based) one recovers one's ability to tap into the "mastermind" or Self/soul which results in "inner knowing". This might not give them direct marks in school or even in life, but they will know how to tap into their creativity and get guidance in their life. This might not make money (like skill based and outcome based learning) - but it might make our youngsters a bit happier and more secure in their lives. Without this connection, people are like a cork bobbing around on a vast sea.

Yes, skill based is not appreciated until positive outcome is achieved.

Skill based is better than an outcome based learning.

Of course, any figures and drawings can make clear what learning is supposed to be. But this has no influence on what happens in physical and mental processes and does not represent these processes. Logic of difference of both concepts is not clear to me. Does skill-based learning not have an outcome? To me outcome-based learning seems to represent a different level of reflection than skil-based learning. Many people learn without skills and without outcome. Perhaps they have a better income than others. But that's only a supposition.

Instead both of the process are important for the students in the creative education for example Fashion Design . On the other hand, sometimes both are synonymous in some cases or in the practicable field.

 But before we consider how students acquire knowledge, it is necessary to understand what knowledge is, what knowledge is, what knowledge a pupil should learn. This question is quite complicated.

 The concept of "knowledge" is polysemous and has several definitions. It is defined as part of consciousness, then as something common in the reflection of objective diversity, then as a way of streamlining reality, then as a certain product and result of cognition, then as a way of reproducing a cognizable object in consciousness.

Competency-based learning or competency-based education and training is an approach to teaching and learning more often used in learning concrete skills than abstract learning.

Outcome-based education (OBE) is an educational theory that bases each part of an educational system around goals (outcomes). By the end of the educational experience, each student should have achieved the goal.

Despite the wide adoption of outcomes-based approach (OBA) in local tertiary institution as a policy mandate, it remains questionable whether or not front-line teachers hold consistent conception of OBA as compared to that of the policy makers. By interviewing a group of teachers in the local sub-degree sector, we find that although teachers try to comply with OBA as an institutional policy, the special educational needs of sub-degree students have led to diverse views on the values of education, leading to differences in the interpretation of learning outcomes, teaching effectiveness, and OBA implementation.

I have a tendency to agree that skills-based training and outcomes based training pursue specific goals. The only difference may be in the timing. For example, skills based training may start to be developed at an early age with the development of language, critical thinking, mathematics, etc. for a specific role. Whereas what is known as outcomes based training is linked to research strategies that measure the impact of applied skills, determinants, etc. to a desired income. However, in both cases there can be short- and long-term objectives. Teachers have always, in my opinion, had skills-based training objectives for long-term outcomes such as successful employment, contribution to society, etc. I think it will be important to distinguish a clear history of skills-based training/education for the student and for the teacher. Then do the same for the outcomes-based approached. Determine what was measured to establish key determinants, desire skills, and ultimately if they have met their objectives. Right now, the terms are not clearly defined and perhaps this level of comparison would help to differentiate the terms.

In my mind, outcomes are both the skills and the knowledge a students needs in order to succeed after graduation. You might say that the skills are only one side of the coin. :-)
