Fluorspar mining areas can contain Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) like PAHs and OCPs, as well as heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and mercury, often exceeding WHO permissible limits. For example, PAHs in sediments can range from 1685 to 4010 µg/kg, while lead levels in drinking water should not exceed 0.01 mg/L.
