The temperature of culture medium of hydrocarbon degradation studies by bacterial strains is maintained at 30 degree Celsius in most of the cases. Why is that?
Thank you for your valuable answer as well as suggestions. I have set the temperature at 37 C and receiving good results. I tried, by growing the microbes at 30 C but the experiment failed. Even I have seen, any enzyme (involved in degradation) assay carrying out at 37 C shows better results than temperature of 30 C or below that.
