Do we need ethical committee clearance (IAEC) in India for working on Wild Zebrafish?

Zebrafish is suggested as the front line alternative choice for scientific trials, according to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry's most recent advice. Does dealing with wild zebrafish require approval from an ethical committee?

Depends on the work and where you want to get published. If it is anything which might alter natural processes then probably yes.
