Usually tree species in temperate region shows distinct growth ring boundaries but in tropical forest the case is different. Because of weather or abrupt change in climate it is sometime very difficult to identify the growth ring boundary. So, to identify distinct growth ring boundary it is very necessary to understand some key anatomical feature like, marginal parenchyma, radially flattened latewood fibres, thick-walled latewood fibres, porosity, fibre zone, distended rays, etc. Is there any scientific articles, papers or images from where I can clearly understand the anatomical featues?
