By saying wide, do you mean like a band as in first two and last two wells of the western blot in second image? If so, it is just because those wells are on the edges of the gel. So, that is common since gel at the edge has more space /room to get flexed as a result of proteins that are run. As you can see the middle bands are much narrow because there is no extra room. You can just try to load marker/ladder in the first and/or last well or both.

Having two bands as you mentioned, those are not at the same size one is lower than other. But i might be a result of that

1) if you load some sample first and run a little like for a couple of minutes and load more, that gives you different migration of the same protein.

2) or those are just different proteins.

for the wide bands, I meant the height of the band itself.

for the second image, if they are 2 proteins how can I identify the target protein if I have 2 bands at the expected molecular weight?
