A fatigue experiment was carried out on a bolted connection using load control. Based on my experience, in force-controlled testing, the load is typically kept constant, while the displacement varies during the test. However, in this case, both the load and displacement are changing throughout the test. I have included the graphs showing the variations of load and displacement as a function of the number of cycles. Does anyone have any insights into why this might be happening?
