In the past 20 years I have found that whether working with adults or children, relationship building is the best classroom management tool. Showing respect will garner respect. Honest discussions and showing humanity allow for empathy to build. More and more I have found that instead of punitive measures, getting to know my students on a human level makes my classroom manage itself.
In my opinion, strong communication with students in its various forms, and the psychological impact that the educator creates on the student’s psyche, makes the performance valuable and supports him in achieving himself and his potential! Believing that he is capable of achieving this may open your minds before your eyes to accept your opinions.
