I see that their emission spectrum overlaps entirely, but I've seen this combination being used, apparently successfully.
Depend your filter. The overlaps can be removed after compensation.

These two colors are exited by different lasers (UV laser for BV colors and "green" laser for AF488)

You can use them together as long as your flow cytometer have separated laser beams. After that it's a matter of compensation to get it right.
