What is the suitable freezing media and protocol for human mature adipocytes cryopreservation?

I used regular freezing media (90% FBS and 10% DMSO) for cryopreservation of isolated human mature adipocytes from adipose tissue in -80 degree. When I freezed the cells, the number of cell was around 2 millions in a cryovial and the cells were variable size (small and larg size). But after thawing, there was very low number and also very small size cells. What can i do for better viability and preserve the larger cells? Is that because of negative impact of DMSO 10% ?
