I have 5 dishes of Chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) culture infected with virus and I want to infect another new CEF by the previously infected cell culture. Could someone tell me how to do this and the procedures to detach the infected cell and infect the newly cell culture?
You don't state the type of virus. If it's a naked virus (i.e. adeno) you can freeze/thaw the cells and media, centrifuge and pass through a 0.45 micron filter and use this to infect a new set of CEF. If it's an enveloped virus collect the media and centrifuge dead cells and use sup to infect CEF
