We aim to study the efficiency of different mutagens in inducing genetic variation ( drought tolerance) in callus culture. Meanwhile, we still looking for the suitable mutagen to achieve such goal! Chemical mutagens may be easier to deal with, but is it effective?

I have investigated inducing mutations in bananas and gloxinia using gamma-ray in in vitro conditions, and, I think if you have access to gamma cell, it is a good technique for inducing mutations in cellular tissues such as callus. I also sent an article that gives you good information about mutagenic substances.
