I had Witnessed once ie., my mother poured herbal liguid extract into the ear that cured migraine. What happens there? Extract goes stomach or react with any nerve. what is the exact pathway of poured liquid in ear?
This would be interesting if it happened more than once, or has been reported by others in peer-reviewed literature. I think migraine is a labyrinthine reflex triggered from the inner ear.
Sounds like the root would be something like a vestibular migraine (not diagnosing here). But if the herbs affected it from the inner ear it seems their affects would have to be localized.
for the anti-migraine effect of a herbal liquid applied into the ear there are several possible explanations. First a local pathway via the inner ear, second a general pathway through transcutaneous/transmucous absorption into the blood circulation. Herbal solutions are effective in treating migraine, there are traditional chinese recipes to treat migraine successfully. Every substance is also characterized by a specific frequency. If the frequency of the substance is in resonance with the frequency of the diseased structure there will be an therapeutic effect. Two examples: I was able to find the frequency of Insulin - it is 3323 Hertz. If you apply this frequency transcutaneously or intravascular the blood sugar will go down (see my publications). Another pathway is the transfloral acupuncture, a new method I found (also published). With the transfloral acupuncture the energy of the patient is considerably increased by a combination of permanent needles and floral essences.
Andreas, I appreciate that you mention the frequency of substances! I would suggest that like homeopathics or homeobotanicals, the herbs he is talking about here have a certain vibration or energetic action. And the transcutaneous/transmucous absorption is also something I strongly agree with.
You asked how the substances go from the ear to the gut? Of corse all oral medication goes to the gut and from there to the blood and with the blood everywhere else in the body including the brain. If a herbal solution is poured into the ear tube and has en effect on migraine it is absorbed transcutaneously and transmucously, the effective components of the herbs go into the blood and are also transported to the brain. Important is not the physical quantity but the (basically homeopathic) information or the frequency of the herbal solution. This is the modern scientific explanation of the phenomenon why anything poured into the ear tube will also have an effect in the brain.
Sikkandhar, another effect of pouring liquid in the ear is vestibular caloric stimulation from the liquid against the tympanic membrane. This is typically done with cooled or warmed water, saline, or air. This excites the vesibular system and creates an ocular response. The vesibular and ocular systems are often involved in migraine and that stimulation can affect the perceived migraine symptoms.
