I'm planning to extract RNA from the Vagal nerve or Dorsal Ganglion roots, but I got a question.
It would be only a few 50ug per each nerve, so how do I measure the reagent for the neaurons?
I have a Qiagen RNeasy mini kit and Trizol, and I saw some thesis use a kit, but is it work to apply the common lysis amount of the protocol when I want to extract RNA from tiny neurons?

Yes you can, however the yield is constantly be less than 1%, which for your sample is less than 500 ng, when reconstituting extracted RNA with RNase-free water the kit recommended 30-50 uL, I suggest to add less.
