Hi everyone,

I'm trying to grow some Streptomyces on agar overlaid with cellophane, but haven't had any luck - no growth with S. coelicolor.  This seems to be a pretty common Streptomyces technique, so what am I doing wrong?

- Bought cellophane, cut and autoclaved it between wet filter paper layers

- Placed it onto the petri dish, pressed out bubbles and let it dry

- Inoculated with a spore suspension and mycelia

Does it need to be a specific type of cellophane?  Thanks for any help!
