We need to do our protein extractions in urea lysis buffer (recipe below) because SWI/SNF complex members bind very tightly to the DNA and won't show up on a western with just RIPA lysates. Is anybody aware of a protein quantification reagent (BCA, Bradford, Pierce 660) that will be able to work with this buffer?

Hi Kristin,
your urea lysis buffer seems to be for 2D-gel electrophoresis. We had the same problem years ago which we solved by a comparison of different protein assays for determination of the protein concentration of urea containing lysates. The results are presented in the attached paper. I hope it helps.
