I mixed and melted 2% agarose with dibasic buffer at pH 6.3 but it has refuse to solidify. please what could be wrong?
Agreed
its too acidic: Agarose is meant to be used with 1 x Tris borate EDTA (TBE) or Tris Acetate EDTA buffer (TAE) which have a higher pH
Use TAE 1X which as i know the pH of it should be higher than 6.3, then mix with agarose and melt it to make homogene mixture.
