Modeling of deep subsurface structures using satellite-based gravity models is a pretty interesting topic of research for the regions which are lacking terrestrial data. I suggest you go through the book and some literature related to the depth extents and the degree and order of the satellite gravity models that you employ in your work. For example, satellite models like EGM2008 and EIGEN6C4 have degree and order to 2190 implying their maximum cur off wavelength nearly 15 km. This means that they can more or less be used to model the section below 2-5-3 km to down. Likewise, GOCE (recent model: DIM-R6) has a maximum degree and order 300 with a cut-off wavelength of nearly 125 km. Most of the models can be downloaded from the ICGEM website and rest models include BGI global model (WG2012) and satellite altimetry models like DTU (recent model 17 I guess). Smith and Sandwell's model (Topo XYZ) is also widely used for gravity modeling. From the model that suits your objective, better take the free-air anomaly model and compute Bouguer gravity anomaly for your region corrected for terrain.
