Is there any advantage of tagman kits over syber green kits for miRNA?

Do you prefer taqman or syber green PCR kits? .

I've only used SYbR green kits and they work fine. But they do have a limitation, in that SYBR just non-specifically binds to any double stranded molecule. So even non-specific amplicons or primer dimers (if significant in amounts) can interfere in the readouts you get. Taqman avoids this by using primer-probe conjugates, so only your specific amplicons contribute to the signal you get.
