Is itokay to store mixture with sodium borohydride for 72 hours?

The expected color of my mixture must be yellow and it was after mixing it with sodium borohydride. However, after 36 hours of storage, it turned to colorless, it it normal for it to do so? My mixture is consisted of alginate and polyethyleinimine. I need asap answers, thank you.
