I am currently conducting a qualitative study about leadership styles where I need to determine the leadership style used by my participants and I need help in looking for an already established interview questionnaire from other studies/thesis or the best possible basis/source in making my questionnaire. I will suggest the adoption of Likert structured questionnaire in alignment with the objectives of the study. The questionnaire items will be developed from the various leadership styles as follows: benevolent authoritative, exploitative authoritative, participative, and finally consultative. Use a 5 point scale in soliciting and aggregating the responses from your sample size
There are many instruments. You might need to focus on one leadership style. Two other salient issues: Behavioral versus interviews/self-reports can be quite different and some question a global leadership style even exists.
