I'm frequently experiencing contamination of my cell cultures and strongly suspect it to be due to the water in my CO2 incubator's reservoir. The incubator is quite big, so it is difficult to clean/remove water in it. Is it possible to use an autoclavable dish filled with sterile water and CuSO4? The surface area of this would be so much easier for me to handle and keep clean.
