I think that my life would be different without internet. i can't imagine my life without internet. The internet gives you easy access to great amounts of useful information and helps you communicate with people that it would be impossible to keep in touch with if it weren't for its existence.
Before using Internet it was best and systematic. However with use of net there is no need to remember much just search and survive and pursue research. Information sharing has become fastest. Now difficult to survive without Internet.
Honestly, I don't want to imagine this as it is really hard these days to learn without internet and software programs. However, if this will happen, I think most of researchers may stop from doing any research!

I worked as a researcher from 1960 to 1999. During most of those days, the Internet was unavailable. Thus, it took many days to get reprints of papers and to exchange opinions with coworkers in another countries. All these were made by "snail mail".
The Internet provides researchers the tool to use a huge number of references, and support the knowledge development in the human community, in other hand, in the past, there are many great scientific achievements without the internet, in other words, the life will not stop without the internet.
The internet also has adverse effect in spread incorrect knowledge, because of publishing nonreviewed articles and books
An interesting question. Considering current research problems important for science, I think that the question concerns particularly important issues. I believe that research on this topic should be continued. There was an interesting discussion. Greetings
Then I wait for the Internet to start working again. I am used to it because every now and then the Internet stops working for a while. The problem would be if the Internet stopped working for a few hours only for a minimum of a few days. Then it would be a significant problem.
This will be a big handicap in research be it literature review, data collection, data analysis etc. If no Internet:
research takes longer time to complete from inception to conclusion.
take longer time to search for needed artifacts, literature etc. for review.
research location might be university' lab or library bound instead of can work from home, Starbucks etc. anywhere that have Internet connection.
hundreds of journal articles in a fraction space of a thumb drive (soft copy) vs few feet thick (hard copy).
data analysis might be less accurate using manual method (e.g. calculator, log book etc.) vs software approach in which some can be downloaded for free & the process can be automated.
take longer time to submit, review, correct & publish an article.
more difficult or take longer time to check for plagiarism.
research can be a more lonely journey without Internet, ResearchGate, Academia, Mendeley etc. networking.
