- we know very well the matter that we teach (and conduct researches) - but we cannot know ALL
- our students are CLEVER: some of them are the future of scientific research
- a good teaching has to be SINCERE, TRUE and PARTICIPATIVE: as lecturer we are not only a pipe to pass our knowledge to their brain but we have to help them to develop their skills of learning by themselves.
- we have to be sincere and be able to say: " I know a lot in invertebrate zoolgy (for example- in my case) - but I don't know / have not actualy a good answer to your very interesting question".
SO: when I have not a good answer to a good question - I tell the true: and say "I don't know! your question is very interesting and I ask you to find the answer in the webb of in the library and tell us it in the next lesson"
