Hello,
I followed a protocol for isolating human cardiac stem cells (Human cardiomyocyte progenitor cells differentiate into functional mature cardiomyocytes: an in vitro model for studying human cardiac physiology and pathophysiology, Smits 2009).
I'm able to grow cells in culture, but there are differnet cell types in culture.
Does someone have an idea which cell types are possible? I'm attaching a picture off my cell culture.

First of all, for ensuring what those cells are you should check it out with specific protein expression.
But if you could not do further tests I can share my experience that may be suitable for you.
I have isolated cardiomyocytes from human fetuses and neonatal mice.
Although the cardiomyocyte stem cells were not my consideration I found out, the most interference cells during the cell isolation are the Fibroblasts.
Since the Fibroblast has a great attachment to the plastic Petri dishes, you can use this feature to remove them from your cell isolation.
After tissue digestion, you can pre-plate the isolated cells on plastic Petri dishes (The cell culture plastic Petri dishes without any protein coating).
The isolated cells should be pre-plated on the Petri dishes and put in a cell incubator for 30 min after that you can repeat this step 3 times to remove Fibroblasts. Fibroblasts attached to the dishes prior to other cells, consequently, you could remove them from the cardiomyocytes (CM). after pre-plating, you should culture supernatant on a tissue culture plate coated with collagen, gelatin, matrigel, or laminin (Don't use Vitronectin).
As matured CMs have poor proliferation the cells that could be attached and expanded well probably are CM stem cells.
