Hello everyone,
I have downloaded the 'Process' plug in onto SPSS and I understand I need to use model 1 for moderations, I know which boxes to put them in etc.
Moderator = culture (collectivist and individualist)
Example hypothesis: the relationship between entertainment needs and UGC use will be
stronger among those from individualistic cultures.
The issue
I have categorised the moderators so that 0=individualist and 1=collectivist. I then run model1 process and obtain the results. But, I don't understand how I am meant to interpret the results as surely it uses culture as a whole.
I'm really not that technical so sorry about my wording. In my mind, I need to separate 0=individualist and 1=collectivist so that I can then run process for each culture separately.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Unless you have a measurement model (unmeasured variables), moderation is exactly equivalent to using a set of interaction effects. So you may not need to get into the complexities of Process MACRO by using regression with dummy variables instead.

Model 1 is pretty straightforward. As David Morgan indicates you could handle it as a regression model (or, as a block design anova, for that matter).
