Hi,  I might have potential mycoplasma contamination in my mESC lines derived so far (quite a few). The idea is (was) to study epigenetic changes in the periconception period using these cell lines as models. So, the lines are precious! Could anyone perhaps comment on the usability of these cell lines, or they should just be chucked away, or anything about how mycoplasma contamination could affect/ alter cellular programming within the cells.

I know it might depend on the duration of contamination, and is difficult to probably comment upon, but has anyone gone ahead with using mycoplasma-stem cells anyway for their experiments?

Please share.

Thanks!
