My question is that how these particles are sterilised by hand sanitisers having ethanol as main ingredient .
But the thing is you might not be capable always to carry soap and water. So hand sanitizer can be a good solution as the ethanol evaporates

Agreed with @Charles H Hocart, virus become active with living host and act as viriods with its structure. Alcohol attacks and destroys the lipo-protien envelope that surrounds some viruses, including coronaviruses, zika virus, influenza virus. This protein is vital for a virus’s survival and multiplication. But a hand sanitiser needs to be at least 60% alcohol in order to kill most envelope viruses.
