Ethedium bromide (EtBr) is a stain which glow on U.V. exposure and is used to visualize nucleotide polymers like DNA, RNA.
During preparation of gel during electrophoresis when the gel is in molten state adding few drops of EtBr is very surprising because the moment the tip filled with EtBr is put inside the flask having medium it automatically slips down the tip without pressing.
Can it be due to ' Van der Waals force '!? When the EtBr solution in the tip closes to the surface of the agarose solution, the molecules from the agarose solution interact with molecules of EtBr solutio,n and pull it down. See attachment about Van der Waals force.

Totally normal to see this. I don't know the physics behind it, but it's nothing to worry about.
