We was received some labolatories HaCaT cell. And Immediately, I went mycoplasma test performed. All were positive reaction(contamination). But Other kind of cells were not contaminated. If anyone solved the HaCaT contamintion, please advise me. The HaCat Cells were surrounded with a bunch of black. We were suspected that the moving thing is bacteria.
Mycoplasma is a very serious problem in cell culture. if you found positive for mycoplasma just throughout your contaminated culture with special precautions. otherwise it will contaminate all the other cultures which you are going to handle in the same bio-safety cabinet, fumigate your culture lab, cabinet and co2 incubator. these remedies we follow in our lab, even if we have some doubt in our cultures.
Yes you have to be very careful in the safety precautions and sterility of your laboratory.
