Thank you Marzieh Rostaminejad for sharing the protocol. Based on the protocol, I understand that 2ug of DNA and 8/10 ul of PEI gave the best transfection efficiency, but what about the cytotoxicity data? Any comments on that please?
Joshua Paul Yes, actually 2 to 2.5 µg of DNA is perfect for 10 µl PEI (1 µg/µl).
Its toxicity is negligible in terms of its effectiveness. Based on my personal experience, the toxicity was very low and cell viability was much higher than other transfection methods. Many articles have also pointed to its low toxicity
