I wonder if I can inject Tamoxifen directly into the cisterna magna. Most of the time Tamoxifen is injected intravenously or intraperitoneally. Will there be any problem in injecting it into the cisterna magna? I need it to specifically reach the CSF.

Thank you very much Andrea for your time. I will ask to the authors what is the difference between endoxifen and Tamoxifen.
Endoxifen is the active form required for Cre induction. Tamoxifen needs to be metabolized to tamoxifen-OH (= Endoxifen) in the liver to become active. So tamoxifen injection into the CNS will not do result in Cre induction of that is what you want. However, i.p or i.v -injected tamoxifen will definitely reach the CSF!
