Hello Gisella Campanelli

The concentration of G418 that is commonly used ranges from 400 to 1000 µg/mL for selection of mammalian cells. I am not aware about the G418 concentration for 22Rv1. But you can always perform a kill curve assay using various concentrations of G418 say in the range of 0 – 2000 µg/mL.

Yes it is very inefficient for some cell types. Requires very high concentration for some cells.
