Although there are several lines of evidences suggesting the expression of MHC class II in activated mouse T cells the acceptance seems to be controversial. Please help me for any confirmation regarding this statement. As I have found in literature only MHCII expression in activated human T cells seems to be accepted by the wide researc community.
Short answer is no, although if you work very hard you can find a small amount probably picked up passively from other cells
I agree with Jeff. We have looked and there is no class II on mouse T cells but there is on human cells.
As mentionned by Jeffrey, in the mouse, MHC class II detection on T cells results from MHC acquisition from neighbouring cells. This phenomenon was reported in the early 70's but more recent studies using MHC molecules tagged in their cytoplasmic domain showed that T cell acquire full length MHC class II (together the antigenic peptide) in the form of plasma membrane fragments. This process occurs quickly upon productive contact between T cells and APC and confers on T cells the ability to interact with additional T cells, which can result in various (still debated) responses. Keywords to understand more of this phenomenon can be "cross-dressing" or "trogocytosis".

where they discuss the effect of thymocytes bearing MHCII in the thymus in a mouse model of MHCII expression. But I think they assume murine T cells don't express MHC II. Maybe there are some useful references in the introduction.
